Our time in Israel
A lot of expectation comes into play when you are traveling to Israel. First, the conflict. Second, the Jewish stereotype. Third, the personal dilemma about Palestine. Fourth, you will be stepping into Holy Land.
Jerusalem
We arrived to Jerusalem at night. We thought it was going to be easier if we got there late, rented a car, drove to the hotel, rested and started fresh the next morning. What we didn’t account for is that entering into Old Jerusalem was going to be chaotic.
Visiting the West Bank
Palestine had been forever on my bucket list. Maybe as my morbid curiosity demands some historical answers, maybe as my heart pulls me to relate to what seems unfair. When we were planning for this trip, we considered various options for going into the West Bank.
Israel is Not What I Expected
When you think about Israel, many things come to mind. Unfortunately, conflict is the first thought. Then, Holy Land. Next, probably the Jewish people. Perhaps someone we know, perhaps memories of the Holocaust.
